Editors release Mobius Band’s album ‘Heaven’
If you saw Editors on their UK tour in 2008, Mobius Band will be instantly familiar.
The bond between the New York based trio and the Birmingham quartet which began on that tour led to a close friendship, and a growing admiration from Editors for their new found friends’ music. Wanting to help this music be heard by the public, Editors are releasing Heaven in the UK, in conjunction with Mobius Band’s US label.
Russell says of the partnership:
“When ‘Heaven’ was released in America, the record blew us away. Our favorite track would change from week to week and we had to have the band come play the album to our fans in Europe. They went down superbly well and sold more CDs on the road than they had in total previously. It made sense for us to help out further and to put the record out in the UK.”
